As the latest addition to the cohort of commitment-holders at the sub-national level of the OGP – Local Program, the Provincial Government of South Cotabato has developed the South Cotabato – OGP Action Plan 2018 – 2020 and with it, its five (5) commitments to the OGP, namely: 1) Open Information, 2) Open Monitoring and Evaluation, 3) Open Contracting, 4) Open Mining Information, and, 5) Open Legislation. One of the commitments, Open Contracting, aims to make the procurement process more open and efficient, enhancing the capacity of the provincial government in implementing quality projects, and eventually deliver efficient and effective services to the public.
In order to advance the implementation of this commitment, the Provincial Government of South Cotabato together with the European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines (ECCP), has conducted the following series of activities starting from March 4 to 6, 2019:
- March 4, 2019: Round table discussion with members of the Integrity Circle at FB Hotel, City of Koronadal
- March 5: Workshop of Actual Encoding of Procurement Data at the Mini PDC Hall, City of Koronadal
- March 6: Workshop on Data Analysis and Presentation at FB Hotel, City of Koronadal
