CITY OF KORONADAL — Fashion Designers in South Cotabato allied themselves and formed the South Cotabato Alliance of Fashion Designers (SCAFAD) in a recent meeting held at EMR Center, here spearheaded by the Arts, Culture, Tourism and Museum (ACTM) Promotions and Development Unit in partnership with Project Runway Philippines winner Jared Servano, this city.
Servano talked on the objectives, mission and vision in forming the organization, including the guidelines on membership, possible projects for proposal and formalization of the association through registration at the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), among others.
Another meeting will follow through tentatively scheduled on November this year with the Bono Gong located in T’boli town as the possible venue, according to Servano, where SCAFAD members will formally elect their new set of officers who will lead the organization in achieving their crafted mission and vision.
Attendees of the organizational were led by Jerson Demavivas, fashion designer of Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray, Sofia Jude Palmejar, Ambrosio Cabayao, Ryan Selek, Roy John Madriaga, Mark Baldon, Diego Tubongbanua, Dante Mana, Hurryle James Padilla, Fernando Sugal Jr., Sherwin Tingson, James Kenneth Gellamucho, Jose Naacionales, Razel Alimanggo, Russel Barrientos, Joel Mallo, Mark Jason Balders, Sonny Villafranca, Anthony Darillo, Junryl Villarmino and Richard Superio.
Indira “Dinky” N. Cagaanan, Culture & Arts Focal Person, formally welcomed the group and expressed support on the fashion designers move in organizing themselves which was approved through the passage of the resolution during the recent meeting of the Local Culture and Arts Council (LCAC) of South Cotabato.
