Free education, hospitalization still priority in SouthCot -Gov. Tamayo

South Cotabato Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo laid down all his plans and directions during the continuation of the Executive-Legislative Agenda (ELA) formulation today in Cebu City.

Amidst the absence of his physical presence, Governor Tamayo is steadfast in his vision of bringing quality of life to the people of South Cotabato by strengthening the priority programs which focus on the institutionalization of the programs which include free education programs through the passage of an ordinance; free hospitalization through the full implementation of the Universal Health Care; widen the employment opportunities through the establishment of the IT economic zones and strengthen the tourism sector; strengthen peace and order; agriculture digitalization,  IT infra and software development and the establishment of consolidated farms.

While the province is focusing on economic development, he wants to ensure a balance between progress and the environment through implementing the environment code.  He also wants to strengthen social services to respond and cope with the current  needs of the constituents.

He also called on a strong partnership with the private sector and the national line agencies to ensure that there is no duplication of social services.

“These are the vision and direction of our province for the 3 years of our incumbency. My gratitude to all the dedicated employees of the province for making these happen.”  Governor Tamayo said,

In response, Vice-Governor Arthur Y. Pingoy ensures that the Sangguniang Panlalawigan will support all the Programs, Projects, and Activities (PPAs) presented by the executive department headed by the governor.

He also assured Governor Tamayo that the August Body would give the pending 202 referrals which were not treated previously, the utmost attention under his leadership.

“We will come up with legislation in support to the governor,”  Vice-Governor Pingoy said.
