The South Cotabato Health Care Waste Treatment Facility and Training Center (HCWTF) located within the Integrated Provincial Environment Management Center (IPEMC) located at Tinongcop, Tantangan was blessed and inaugurated in simple rites last June 28.
Governor Daisy Avance Fuentes cut the ceremonial ribbon together with SP Member Hilario de Pedro VI, SP Committee Chairperson on Environment, SP Member Ester Marin Catorce, acting Vice-Governor, and other invited guests and stakeholders.
Supervising Environment Management Specialist Elbe Balucanag, chief of the Provincial Environment Management Office – Environment Management Division disclosed that the Training Center was built at a cost of P2 million while the HCWTF Building, including its water system and electrification, cost P2.4 million.
IPEMC’s perimeter fence likewise cost P1.6 million, according to Balucanag.
Before the inauguration, messages of support were heard that was led by Tinongcop Punong Barangay Ernesto Layos and other stakeholders.
Fr. Nestor Distura, a local chaplain led the blessing rites.
