KORONADAL CITY — Governor Daisy Avance Fuentes inducted the newly-organized officers of the Hospitality and Tourism Organization (HATO) in the province of South Cotabato during the Closing Program of the Streetfood Festival last September 16 at the parking area of the South cotabato Sports Complex, this city.
HATO is composed of Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management (HRM) and Bachelor of Science in Tourism students coming from various schools in the province that was organized by the Provincial Tourism Council of South Cotabato, Inc. (PTCSCI) in partnership with the Arts, Culture, Tourism and Museum (ACTM) Promotions Unit as one of the highlights of the festival.
The newly elected officers are as follows: President – Jahn Xander Estrabon (STI – HRM); Vice – President – Samantha Fe Cervantes (NDMU – HRM); Secretary – Rezelin Sorongon (St. Alexius College – Tourism); Treasurer – Danielle Vargas (NDMU – HRM); Auditor – Anna Donita Subere (ICSI – HRM); P.i.O. – Arcris John Quidato (STI – Tourism); School representatives: Kristel Claire Aloot (St. Alexius College – HRM); Charlene Junsay (Golden State College – Tourism); Claire Brillo (Golden State College – Tourism).
The students likewise participated during the launching of DepED’s IskulTour and Conference on Tourism (ConTour) held at KCC Activity Center here on September 13 and 14, respectively.
PTCSCI and ACTM spearheaded the Streetfood Festival held from September 8 – 16 together with partners and stakeholders in celebration of Tourism Month this September.
