Governor Daisy Avance Fuentes yesterday led the yearend meeting of the Provincial Development Council (PDC), the province’s highest planning and policy-making body, that was hosted by LGU Polomolok.
The highlight of the whole day activity was the presentation of the result of the Naci Dike Assessment presented by Engr. Jessie Manuta, Naci Dike Assessment Team together with his companions from Ateneo De Davao University (ADDU), with their findings and recommendations out from the study endorsed by ADDU to the body.
PDC’s 5 Sectoral Committees composed of Infrastructure Development, Economic Development, Environment-Disaster Risk Reduction-Climate Change Adaptation Development, Institutional Development and Social Development, and 2 Functional Committees composed of Provincial Multi-partite Monitoring Team on Land Use and Environment Policies Implementation Committee (PMMT-LEPIC) and Provincial Project Monitoring Committee also rendered their respective year-end update.
Resolutions endorsed by the respective committee to PDC were likewise approved by the body.
Prior to the meeting proper, Mayor Honey Lumayag – Matti presented development updates happening right now in her municipality and her priority programs for next year which are education, health and peace and order.
First District Board Member Eamon Gabriel Matti, the better half of Mayor Matti, also attended the meeting, together with members coming from LGUs and NGOs and provincial department heads.
