Gov Tamayo receives Salamat Po! Award

Koronadal City, South Cotabato – The Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office No. XII (DSWD FO XII) acknowledged its partners in implementing social protection services for in-need residents across the region, by conducting its “Salamat Po!” Awarding Ceremony during the culmination of its 70th Founding Anniversary on March 19, 2021, at The Farm @ Carpenter Hill in this city.

The Provincial Government of South Cotabato, represented by Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo Jr was one of the recipients of the award, for the reason that the provincial government-awardee has provided logistics, administrative and financial support resulting in the successful implementation of programs, projects, and services, and policies for the poor, vulnerable, and disadvantaged sectors.

The “Pagkakilala sa Natatanging Kontribusyon sa Bayan (PaNata Ko sa Bayan) Awards” acknowledges the efforts of the individuals, groups, and organizations whose panata or vow is to share their resources, time, and selves in providing for a better opportunity for disadvantaged sectors and for inclusive growth.

Various awards are presented to the stakeholders and employees who have contributed to the realization of the shared vision of empowering individuals, families and communities.

Salamat Po! Award is one of the sub-awards of PaNata Ko sa Bayan Awards that are conferred to DSWD partners and stakeholders. It is a commendation of Development Partners and volunteers who provided assistance in the Department’s delivery of social protection services and achievement of goals, as well as a recognition to non-governmental organizations’ best practices.

The awards presented were Best Volunteer: Individual and Group categories; Best Non-Governmental Organization (NGO),  Gawad Paglilingkod sa Sambayanan (GAPAS) Award; Model LGU Implementing Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program, and LGU Implementing and Outstanding Sustainable Livelihood Program Microenterprise Development Model, among others.

The event was graced by DSWD 12 Regional Director Cezario Joel C. Espejo who served as the Keynote Speaker, some governors, mayors, and other public officials within the SOCCSKSARGEN Region, representatives of NGOs in the region, members of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and the Philippine National Police (PNP), and local media personalities.
