Governor Daisy Avance Fuentes gave the Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) led by Vice-Governor Cecile Diel as its Presiding Officer, 90% approval rating for their outstanding performance for 2014.
The Governor made the statement when asked by a member of the media during the yearend Executive-Legislative Kapehan sa Kapitolyo media forum hosted by the Provincial Information Office last December 16 at the PDC Hall, PPDO building.
Fuentes stressed that in her previous 3-consecutive term as Governor, she noticed that this is the most active SP in legislative work.
“I noticed that 3 to 4 days a week, there are committee hearings and our SP members are active in local events of the province,” Fuentes added.
The same sentiment was expressed by the Governor during her State of the Province Address last August 11at the South Cotabato Gym and Cultural Center.
Meanwhile, Vice-Governor Diel when also asked the same question gave a 99% performance rating to the SP Members.
She cited the diligence and industry of her fellow legislators in the conduct of their respective committee hearings, review of ordinances, executive orders and the like, attendance in the weekly sessions and most especially in the passage of several important pieces of legislation.
The Vice-Governor likewise assured the media that all pending referrals will be acted upon in the first quarter of 2015.
