Koronadal Nat’l Bikers Convention attempts to break 3 Guinness world records

CITY OF MAKATI — Motor bikers all over the country will attempt to break 3 Guinness world records during the holding of the 23rd national convention of the National Federation of Motorcycle Clubs on April 29 this year in Koronadal City.

Koronadal City Mayor Peter Miguel, who is the concurrent National Federation President, confirmed during the opening of the Treasures of SOX Travel and Trade Expo here on April 3 that between 2,500 to 3,000 motorbikers are expected to converge in Koronadal City on April 29.

“We will attempt to break the world records on the largest parade of motorcycles, the most engines started simultaneously and the most motorcycle horns sounded simultaneously,” Mayor Miguel disclosed.

Miguel added that India set the previous records with around 1,700 motorcycles participating, so he is confident that the motorcycle convention could break or set 3 world records.

Department of Tourism (DOT) 12 Regional Director Nelly Nita Dillera together with Miguel and Tacurong City Tourism Officer Emily Jamorabon likewise presented the Tourism Pit Stops in SOCCSKSARGEN.

RD Dillera presented the different destinations and attractions in the province like Lake Sebu, Lake Holon, , among others, while Jamorabon showcased Tacuroong City’s Baras Bird Sanctuary, Sultan Kudarat’s Provincial Capitol dubbed as the Taj Mahal of the country and the hot springs in Esperanza, Sultan Kudarat.

Miguel presented the city’s hotels, resorts, malls and other attractions not only as the province’s capital and lone component city, but also as the Administrative Capital of SOCCSKSARGEN.

In attendance during the presentation were broadcaster Jay Taruc of Motorcycle Diaries and other prominent motorcycle enthusiasts in the country.
