KPSGIAP welcomes applicants starting March 1

The Kabugwason-Paglaum Scholarship and Grant-in-Aid Program (KPSGIAP) announces the distribution of its application form starting March 1, 2019, for those who are interested in availing of the program for the upcoming school year.
KPSGIAP Executive Director Ruel Bagonoc said, their office is open to those who want to apply.
“We are located inside the Capitol compound,” he said,
The program aims to provide scholarships and grant-in-aid programs to poor but deserving students for them to become productive citizens of the province.
Since its inception, the program already produced many professionals.
To date, there are at least 467 Scholars for degree courses (First Year to Fifth Year) enrolled in different colleges and universities in General Santos City, Koronadal, Sultan Kudarat and Davao City.
For post graduate studies for law and medicine, it continue to support at least 17 scholars.
Seven scholars are in currently enrolled in medicine, four of which are at the West Visayas State University and three at the University of Northern Philippines.
Ten scholars are enrolled in Law studies at the Mindanao State University- General Santos City and at the Sultan Kudarat State University.
For the Grant-in-Aid (Tertiary Courses), at least 300 beneficiaries availed of the program for the Academic Year 2017-2018.
The KPSP takes pride that the program has produced at least 39 new professionals in 2018, eight of which were academic achievers. These include six cum laude and two with honors.
For this school year 2018-2019, at least 235 scholars in Degree Courses are expected to graduate and two for postgraduate studies in medicine.
