Laguna PNP assures security during Palaro, “gun ban” to be impose

The Laguna Police Provincial Office has assured delegates to the 2014 Palarong Pambansa that the police will keep them secure during the entire duration of the Palaro games.

 

Police Senior Superintendent t Romulo Sapitula, Provincial Director of the Laguna Police Provincial Office made the statement during the press conference at SM City Calamba on April 30.

 

PD Sapitula added that their office will deploy 400 uniformed policemen within the Laguna Sports Complex, playing venues and billeting quarters.

 

“In fact, upon arrival of the different delegations, we employed 3 policemen per shift in their billeting quarters,” Sapitula added.

 

“Aside from these”, Sapitula further added, “we have deployed force multipliers within the community where the athletes stay to further ensure their safety.”

 

The province hosted major sporting events such as Batang Pinoy, Philippine National Games, Liga Filipinas, NCAA, ALCU, STAA, among others, so according to the police. they are well-prepared in securing all the delegates.
