LGUs turn over books on Cultural Mapping

CITY OF KORONADAL — Two (2) Local Government Units (LGUs) in South Cotabato turned over their respective Book on Cultural Mapping to South Cotabato province and the National Commission for Culture and The Arts (NCCA) recently as part of the Cultural Asset Mapping (CAM) Program of the Arts, Culture, Tourism and Museum (ACTM) Unit.

Tampakan in the first district of the province was the first to submit its CAM Book during the culmination program of the 2021 National Arts Month “Ani ng Sining” celebration held last February 27 held at Mall of Ace Centerpoint, this city.

The CAM Book was personally turned over by Tampakan First Lady Keya Escobillo, who is the Arts and Culture Coordinator of the municipality.

Surallah Tourism Office likewise turned over recently its CAM Book to their Mayor Antonio Bendita who in turn, turned it over to NCCA Executive Director Al Ryan Alejandre via zoom.

The books were turned over after extensive CAM training which consisted of orientation, field work, documentation, writing and editing and validation, before its book publication.

The municipalities of Lake Sebu and T’boli are also expected to turnover their respective CAM Book to the ACTM Unit and NCCA within this year.
