The Local Finance Committee (LFC) conducted a technical budget hearing last Sept 4 to 17 with different offices of the province as part of the preparation for the Annual Executive Budget for 2015.
Provincial Budget Officer Luz Perpetua Fontanilla, Provincial Planning and Development Coordinator Abner Navarro and OIC-Provincial Treasurer’s Office Alfredo Dumanig comprises the LFC.
The different offices were required to prepare and submit their respective budget based on the required Maintenance and Other Operating Expense (MOOE) ceiling imposed by the Provincial Budget Office (PBO).
Earlier, the PBO conducted a budget forum or “budget call” wherein policies are laid down before office heads or representatives to serve as guide for them in preparing their respective budget.
Sixteen provincial department offices and four hospitals submitted their proposed budget, to include PGO offices or units such as Information, ACTS, PSU/Radio Room, SCRDC, PDRRMO, BAU, SCCM, BAC, PSYDO, SCSC, SCGCC, Internal Audit, Inspectorate, LEIPU, KPSP and Zipline.
The 2015 annual budget of the province of more than P 1 billion, mostly coming from its Internal Revenue Allotment )IRA) share, will focus on the present administration’s development thrust and priorities in social and economic development sectors, infrastructure sector, environment sector and general public administration.
