Some 5,399 jobs were generated by the tourism sector jn South Cotabato for the period January to June this year, the Arts, Culture, Tourism and Museun (ACTM) Unit reported.
Richie Matubdingm ACTM Statistician disclosed that the list of tourist resources involved in job generation are Resot, Accomodation Establishment, Food and Dining, Health and Wellness, Attraction, Transportation, Agri-Tourism Farm, Travel and Tour, and Tourism-related.
Rhe round down of the contributors in job generation are Banga – 447, City of Koronadal – 1,259, Lake Sebu – 610, Norala – 176, Polomolok – 259, Sto. Nino – 115, Surallah – 248, Tampakan – 32, Tantangan – 119, T’boli -1,378, Tupi – 460.
Job generation is a big boost to the local economy of South Cotabato which like other provinces experienced stagnation due to CoVid-19 pandemic for 2 years.
