NDMU Year 11 student PSA Statistics Quiz champion

A Notre Dame of Marbel University (NDMU) student bested 36 others when she won in the 2nd Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Statistics Quiz that is open to Year 11 students that was jointly sponsored by PSA and the provincial government of South Cotabato and held on November 13 (1pm) at the South Cotabato Gym and Cultural Center.

Lady Angelie Montano was the lone survivor among 4 participants from NDMU that made it after 2 qualifying rounds before proceeding to the final round. For her feat, she received a medal and P10,000 cash incentive as first place winner. Her coach Francis Lloyd Galanida likewise received P2,000 cash incentive.

Meanwhile, 2 students from Koronadal National Comprehensive High School made it as top 5 winners. Edmark Saladero and Chrizel Samsona landed 2nd and 5th places, respectively, that earned them cash incentives of P8,000 and P3,000 in the same order and a medal each. Their coaches, Leonil Lubaton and Louie Palete, got a total of P3,500 as cash incentives.

The other students that made it in the top 5 were Rona Mae Napa of Tampakan National High School (3rd Place – P6,00 + medal) and Crislane Kate Gumbao of Silway 8 National High School (4th Place – P4,000 + medal). Their coaches, Danilo Rebollos and Regina Pardo, received cash incentives of P2,000 and P1,500, respectively.

Non-winners of the contest got a consolation prize of P1,500 each.

The top 5 winners were automatically qualified as contestants of South Cotabato in the PSA Statistics Quiz Regional Finals which will be held on November 21 in Kidapawan City, Cotabato.
