OPAG turns-over Php3.18 M irrigation project to Sitio Salpao, Polonuling, Tupi

The Provincial Government of South Cotabato headed by Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo Jr., through the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist headed by Raul D.Teves, DVM officially turned over today the Php3.18 million worth of Diversion Dam with Canal Structures to the members of Salpao-Polonuling Small Water Impounding System Association (SWISA). This project which covers at least 17 hectares will benefit the 15 farmer-beneficiaries of the association. SWISA, Salpao President William Gervacio expressed his gratitude to the realization of the project as it will be a big help to the local farmers in increasing their income. The Project is part of the 2019 General Fund.
Aside from the project, the OPAG is also willing to provide other postharvest facilities to the association, fertilizers, and vegetable seeds not only to the farmers of Sitio Salpao but also to other farmers of Tupi.
The Blessing and formal turn-over was also attended by other provincial employees, municipal officials of Tupi, local officials of Brgy. Polonuling, members of Salpao SWISA and Polonuling Irrigators Association.
