Personnel manning the operations and management of the province’s Health Care Waste Treatment Facility (HCWTF) located within the Integrated provincial Environment management Center (IPEMC) at Tinongcop, Tantangan have undergone a 3-day technical capacitation training recently.
Sponsored by RAD Green Solutions Inc., a Davao City-based company that supplied the pyro-clave system of the HCWTF, the participants were subjected to series of lectures and hands-on training by resource speakers from the company.
Topics of the technical training include Proper Handling and Management of Hospital Infectious Wastes, Preparation of Emergency Plan during Spills and Emergency-related Events, Trouble-shooting of Pyro-clave Machine and Hands-on on Troubleshooting the Pyro-clave Machine.
The HCWTF was established at the IPEMC on September 2016 to cater th treatment of infectious wastes generated by health care providers such as hospitals, clinics, laboratories and related providers in the province.
It operates from Monday to Saturday and manned by 7 personnel.
