KORONADAL, SOUTH COTABATO- The Provincial Environment and Management Office (PEMO) has the lists of priority programs this beginning of the year, and one of which is to protect the Allah River.
PEMO chief Seigfred Flaviano said that there are 10 barangays in Surallah and Lake Lake Sebu along the river will be planted by a bamboo tree from Department of Agriculture- Regional Field Office XII.
“Sa subong may ara kita napulo (10) ka barangay sa higad sang Allah River nga ara sa Surallah kag Lake Sebu nga pagatamnan naton sang kawayan in partnership with Department of Agriculture XII.” PEMO chief said during his press conference with the media.
Flaviano also acknowledged the quarry operators, barangays, local government units, and non-government organization for a strong collaboration.
At least 30 kilometers stretch is expected to be planted in this project.
Meanwhile, Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo, Jr. has approved this proposal.
