Despite the on-going Corona Virus Disease (CoViD) – 19 pandemic that hit the country, the Integrated Provincial Health Office (IPHO) is still pursuing the crafted Universal Health Care (UHC) Road Map as it conducted a meeting among UHC Technical Working group (TWG) members recently to discuss its current status and plans for the coming months ahead.
Provincial Health Officer II Dr. Rogelio Aturdido Jr. spearheaded the activity with the attendance also of the different stakeholders of the program.
Highlight of the discussion was the presentation of the Implementation Research by Dr. LJ Molleno of Reach Health, one of the NGOs tapped by the Department of Health (DOH) as partner in the program implementation.
Provincial Health Officer I Dr. Alah Baby Vingno together with Association of Municipal/City Health Officers (AMCHO) President Dr. Jocelyn Bayquin of Lake Sebu LGU also gave a feedback on the Primary Care Providers Network (PCPN) Workshop hosted by said LGU.
Likewise, Dr. Barbara Marilou Libatique of the Provincial DOH Office (PDOHO) presented the draft Memorandum of Understanding/Memorandum of Agreement on UHC Implementation which will be finalized on the 3rd quarter of the year.
Before the thorough discussion of the agenda, Dr. Vingno also presented the five (5) Agreements reached during previous meetings.
