To allow time to delinquent taxpayers, the Provincial Treasurer’s Office planned to conduct an auction sale of Real properties this year.
Mario Sorongon, Local Treasury Operations Officer IV, revealed that PTO proposed another round of auction sales on October 22, 2022.
Notices for the upcoming auction sale for Real properties will be delivered.
In the 2019 auction sale, 14 unredeemed properties belonged to private bidders. Sorongon said 12 unredeemed properties belonged to the Provincial Government of South Cotabato.
He added that the redemption period expires.
The Local Government Code says that the owner of the delinquent real property or person having legal interest, or representative, has the right to redeem the property within a year from the date of sale upon payment of the delinquent tax and other fees.
