Prov’l Eng’g Office completes P75-M Infra Projects for 1st quarter

Some 16 projects worth P75,084,365.16 were completed province-wide from January to March this year, the Provincial Engineering Office (PEO) reported.

Engr. Vicente Ayongao, chief of PEO – Construction and Maintenance Division disclosed that the development projects accomplished were road projects, barangay halls, gym, senior citizen building and water system, including the improvement of some facilities owned by the provincial government and other infrastructures.

The two (2) major road projects undertaken were concreting of national highway junction – Acmonan Road, Tupi and Norala – Banga Road.

Meanwhile, barangay infrastructure development projects finished were completion of Glamang Barangay Hall, Polomlok; construction of Tinongcop Barangay Hall, Tantangan and Matapol Barangay Hall, Norala; completion of Gym in Malugong, T’boli; construction of Senior Citizen Buildings in Barangay Lambayong, Tampakan and Barangay Cabuling, Tantangan; completion of Day Care Center in Barangay Canahay, Surallah and labor for the construction of 2 communal septic tanks in Lake Sebu.

The intake box of Danlag Water System in Tampakan was likewise repaired and replaced while its pipelines were expanded while the tiling of Panay National High School in Sto. Nino was also finished.

To further enhance its services to the public, the provincial government undertook different projects in its different facilities such as improvement / upgrading of Polomolok Municipal Hospital, construction of new Provincial Population Office and fabrication and installation of window protection grills for the Provincial Assessor’s Office,

The PEO likewise completed the Archival Building and Facilities of the Hall of Justice located in Koronadal City.

As of press time, on-going projects province-wide still being undertaken by PEO totaled more than P227 million.
