Prov’l Engineering Office reports P529-M infra accomplishments

Some 91 infrastructure projects, 47 completed and 44 on-going, and worth P529,304,751.70 were reported by the Provincial Engineering Office (PEO) for the period January to July 2017.

PEO Officer-in-Charge Engr. Vicente Ayongao disclosed that about 56% of the projects are vertical structures such as barangay halls, multi-purpose buildings and repairs of government offices; 40% are horizontal structures composed of road concreting, construction of box culverts, installation of lined canals, water systems and repair of bridge approaches; 4% are special projects funded under KALSADA and Food Security Projects.

Five (5) road concreting projects worth P77,504,974.74, Ayongao added, were completed for the same period and these are the Junction National Highway-Acmonan Road, Maltana-Lambayong Lined Canal, San Jose-Columbio Provincial Road, Norala-Banga (Bgy. San Miguel, Norala and Bgy. Punong Grande, Banga), Junction Lapu-Lapu-Avance Road (Bgy. Poblacion, Sto. Nino).

PEO likewise reported on-going projects such as seven (7) road concreting projects with a project cost of P205,627, 572.74 and also seven (7) Annual Investment Plan or AIP-funded bridges worth P113,165,974,.61.

Meanwhile, eight (8) KALSADA or now known as the Conditional Matching Grant to Provinces (CMGP) Projects were approved for 2017 with a total project cost of P366, 926,829.00. Ten (10) more similar projects, the PEO confirmed, were requested next year.

Newly-awarded or contracted AIP Projects as of August this year, according to PEO, are also road concreting projects amounting to P45,000,000.00.
