Koronadal City—The Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office in South Cotabato is preparing for the upcoming and distribution of 320 wheelchairs and 20 walking sticks to persons with disability (PWD), Persons with Disability Officer Brian Hervilla announced.
These assistive devices for PWDs are set to distribute before the year ends.
However, in a ceremonial turn-over recently, Hervilla facilitated the hand-over of a crutch. Governor Reynaldo Tamayo, Jr. and PSW Officer-in-Charge Sonia Bautista turned over the crutch last Monday. This week the team is ready to distribute 50 cranes and crutches, 30 quad canes and 20 walkers to various towns in South Cotabato.
“These devices are made accessible to more PWDs in South Cotabato,” Hervilla added.
