Search for Cleanest & Greenest LGU Update…Evaluators conduct consolidation of initial evaluation results

Evaluators of the province’s Search for Cleanest and Greenest LGU conducted the consolidation of the announced initial evaluation results last March 6 at Shiela’s Park, City of Koronadal.

The initial evaluation results consolidated by the evaluators have a weighted percentage point of 30%. The unannounced final evaluation I is equivalent to 70%.

Areas evaluated in the LGUs have different percentage points based on the criteria and they are Public Market (10%), Public Terminal (5%), Public Plaza and Parks (10%), Barangay (5%), Community Garden (5%), Backyard Garden (5%), Municipal Nursery (10%), Roadside Beautification (10%), Central Material Recovery Facility (10%), Support System (10%) and Other Facilities and Establishments (10%).

Earlier, the evaluators conducted the said evaluation for Cluster I LGUs from February 16 to 24 and February 26 to March 3 for Cluster II LGUs.

Cluster I LGUs are Surallah, T’boli, Polomolok, City of Koronadal, Tupi and Tampakan while Cluster II LGUs include Banga, Lake Sebu, Norala, Sto. Nino and Tantangan.

Areas in the Cluster II LGUs evaluated are Barangay, Community Garden and Backyard Garden only, after said LGUs underwent a 2-day Planning and Budgeting Session with the Provincial Environment Management Office (PEMO).

The evaluators are Elbe Balucanag of the Provincial Environment Management Office, Jose Perez of the Provincial Planning & Development Office, Engr. Erizaldy Quienes of the Integrated Provincial Health Office, Fruto Sumagaysay Jr. of the Provincial Information Office, Julius Mella of the Provincial Tourism Office, Sheree Ann Reyes of South Cotabato Foundation Inc. and Teresita Sabares of Dole Phils.
