Sen Bong Go, Guv Tamayo leads the distribution of assistance to displaced workers and PWD’s

TUPI, SOUTH COTABATO- Senator Christopher Lawrence “Bong Go” and Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo, Jr. leads the distribution of assistance to more than 400 displaced workers and Persons with Disabilities (PWD) at Tupi, South Cotabato.

Under the program of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), the displaced workers received livelihood assistance grant worth P15,000 as capital seed fund to start up their business.

They also received family food packs, others received cash assistance worth P5,000 each from Department of Labor and Employment through Tulong Panghanapbuhay para sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD), DOLE Integrated Livelihodd Program, and assistance from Department of Trade and Industry Region XII and Department of Health (DOH).

Department of Agriculture 12 also distributed 140 packs of bigas and assorted vegetable seeds.

Senator Go distributed also groceries, vitamins, facemask, face shield, and there are lucky winners who were given bicycle, tablet and shoes.

Meanwhile, 300 PWD’s received cash assistance amounting to P 3,000 each and food packs as support this time of pandemic. Other beneficiaries received assistive devices such as cane and wheelchair.
