The South Cotabato Baseball team vying for top placement at the on-going Mindanao Regional Qualifying for the Philippine Little League Series held at Tupi Central Elementary School called on fellow South Cotabatenos for support.
South Cotabato Little League Baseball Association headed by Atty. Remegio Rojas said, the team needs support to boost their morale.
At least 28 teams all -over Mindanao came over in South Cotabato starting April 7-14 to compete.
South Cotabato is the teams to beat aster it emerged as the 2018 Batang Pinoy National Baseball Champion.
Last year, the South Cotabato Baseball team won the championships held at Kiamba, Sarangani province but fell short to qualify for the Asia-Pacific Little League series after it landed first -runner up at the national finals.
Rojas said the national finals will be held for the first time outside Luzon this year and it will be in Koronadal City on May 19-26.
“We are very lucky,” he said,
Rojas disclosed the national event will be hosted by the City of Koronadal.
Preparations are underway as the games will be held in five venues within the city.
These will be held at the South Cotabato Sports Complex, Koronadal Comprehensive National High School and at the Notre Dame of Marbel University grounds.
