Koronadal City—Governor Reynaldo Tamayo, Jr. released a statement that the South Cotabato Provincial Hospital is in critical stage in terms of operation.
As of January 23, Gov. Tamayo received reports from the chief of hospital that 56 health personnel are suffering from COVID-19.
Meanwhile, out of the 109 COVID-related patients, 60 are still at the emergency room, he reported.
From the 30-bed capacity, Gov. Tamayo said a Department of Health (DOH) ruled out that the provincial hospital maximized their facility to accommodate 60 beds.
“We are praying that there will be no increase in COVID patients so that we can take care of the patients until they are fully recuperated,” the governor added.
During the Monday Flag ceremony earlier, Gov. Tamayo aired out his dismay over the cut in the 2022 budget.
“One essential budget cut is seen in the programs and activities of the fight against COVID 19,” he added.
