The province of South Cotabato will join the “Treasures of SOX (SOCCSKSARGEN)” Travel and Trade Expo of the Department of Tourism (DOT) 12 which will be held in Glorietta Activity Center, Makati City from April 11 – 14, a senior tourism official disclosed.
Provincial Tourism Officer Cesar Sulit Jr. said that their office plans to bring a private sector representative to join the business and investment matching sessions during the 4-day expo.
“We will present the Lahit Development Project to prospective investors who are interested on high-end facilities development such as hotels, convention centers, among others, to upgrade the services in the area,” Sulit added.
DOT 12 Regional Director Nelly Nita Dillera disclosed during a meeting with government information officers that they target to reach P10 million in tourism sales and another P10 million in product sales during the expo.
Activities lined up in the expo include Daily Sales Calls, Cultural Presentation, Fashion and Product Show and Opening Parade.
Region 12 exhibitors are also expected to fill up the 40 booths prepared by DOT 12 to showcase their respective products and services.
