The Arts, Culture, Tourism and Museum (ACTM) Promotions Unit officially launched the Official Brand and Slogan of South Cotabato for its tourism campaign last September 16 during the Closing Program of the Streetfood Festival held in celebration of Tourism Month this September.
Senior Tourism Operations Officer Cesar Sulit Jr., ACTM chief, led the launching by announcing to the audience the province’s official brand, “Land of the Dreamweavers” and likewise official slogan, “South Cotabato, Our Home, Now Your Destination” which was simultaneously followed by an Audio-Visual Production (AVP) produced by ACTM office.
The Official Brand and Slogan launching plus AVP elicited thunderous applauses from the crowd who filled up the parking area during the closing program.
“The Official Brand particularly the Official Slogan was conceptualized by the ACTM office,” Sulit disclosed during an interview by this writer right after the launching.
Governor Daisy Avance Fuentes who graced the occasion said, “we need to strive more because of martial law, the negative perception about our place,” and added that, “at saying naman ang nakuha natin na parangal that from third place, we went up to second place as the Most Competitive Province in the country at alam ko na hindi namin nakuha iyan kung wala sa inyong suporta.”
She thanked all those who participated and extended their support that led to the successful Streetfood Festival particularly the Provincial Tourism Council of South Cotabato Inc. headed by Johnnie Victor Ferrer, ACTM, the participating schools and concessionaires, and the public who patronized the 10-day festival.
Likewise, the Governor assured her support and prayers for Camille Folio, the reigning Mutya ng South Cotabato 2017 who also attended the launching and will compete this Monday (September 18) at GMA TV Eat Bulaga noontime program for the Miss Millennial Contest.
