SouthCot strengthens anti-drug campaign through ADAC Search

This year’s evaluation for the search for the Outstanding Anti-Drug Abuse Council is on.
The Provincial Evaluation Team starts its visit to the different ADACs of the province’s ten towns and the lone city. Prizes at stake for the grand winner is Php500k, Php400k for the 1st Runner –Up; Php300k for the 2nd Runner-Up; Php200k for 3rd Runner-Up and Php100k for the 5th Runner-Up. Consolation price to non-winning ADAC is Php50k
PADAC will also give special awards.
Cash incentives of Php10,000 each will be given to each of the following winners: Outstanding Secretariat Office, Best in Rehabilitation Cluster, Best in Advocacy Cluster and Best in Enforcement Cluster.
Php5,000 cash incentives will also be given each to Best BKD Implementer In-school; Best BKD Implementer Community-Based; and Best DARE Officer.
The ADAC search is one of the strategies of the provincial government of South Cotabato to curb illegal drugs in the province.
South Cotabato Governor Reynaldo Tamayo Jr. as the PADAC Chairperson vows to strengthen Demand Reduction strategies as he believes if the people will be fully-educated against illegal drugs, nobody will try it. And if there’s no demand, no drugs will enter the province since no one buys.
The awarding ceremony will be held on November 18-22,2019 in time for the Drug Abuse Prevention and Control (DAPC) Week celebration. The province of South Cotabato will be the venue for the national Kick-off which will be attended by top officials from the Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB).
