For the first 5 months of 2023. South Cotabato registered 781,298 visitors with the month of April scoring the hjghest at 207,374, the Arts, Culture, Tourism and Museim (ACTM) reported,
April is Holy Week month this year, hence, the influx of visitors on different tourist attractions province-wide especially on pilgrimage sites such as Our Lady of Divine Mercy Shrine and Retreat House which is the visitor’s favorite in the province.
Some 55,356 same day visitors and overnight guests trekked to South Cotabato last Holy Week season, ACTM noted.
Meanwhile, Visitor Arrival record from highest to lowest showed that after April, January ranked second place at 160,725, February – 144,729, March – 135,639, May – 132,786.(photo:www.soxph.com)
