South Cotabato’s Sand, Gravel and Mining (SGM) tax collection from January to July this year now totaled P11,247,158.82, this was reported by the Provincial Environment Management Office (PEMO).
PEMO’s latest report for the month of July showed a collection of P1,660,550.00, which is higher than the January to June or 6-month average of P1,597,768.14.
Last year’s monthly average was only P1,561,924.40, but PEMO generated the highest SGM Tax Collection in 2016 at P18,743,092.83.
With the trend now showing that the SGM Tax Collection monthly average has been consistently increasing for the past 7 months, PEMO expects a higher collection for this year compared in 2016.
PEMO likewise reported that out of the 7-month total collection, it has generated a share for the province in the amount of P4,424,274.41.
Provincial Imposition include Sand and Gravel, Mining Tax, Small-Scale Mining Fee, Ore Transport Fee, Occupational Mining Tax, Verification Fee (Sand and Gravel), Filing Fee, Governor’s Permit Fee, Processing Fee, Fines/Penalties/Surcharges, Miscellaneous/Delivery Receipts and imposition based on PD 1856.
