The Sand, Gravel and Mining (SGM) tax collection of the province from January to August this year now totaled P13,201,336.32, the Provincial Environment Management Office (PEMO) reported.
Its August SGM tax collection contributed P2,044,177.50, one of the highest monthly tax collection for this year, based from PEMO reports.
The provincial share for the 8–month collection now has a total of P5,195,479.16.
Based from the 8-month collection, PEMO noted that the SGM monthly average tax collection is now P1,650,167.04, which is far higher than last year’s monthly average of P1,561,924.40 only.
The trend showed, according to PEMO, that, it might surpass its 2016 SGM tax collection of P18,743,092.83, the highest since the creation of the office in 2007.
