CITY OF MAKATI — Treasures of SOX Travel and Trade Expo officially opens today at Glorietta Activity Center, this city, showcasing the “best of the best” of the products that SOCCSKSARGEN Region could offer to both local and foreign tourists.
SOCCSKSARGEN is composed of the cities of Cotabato, Kidapawan, tacurong, Koronadal and General Santos and the provinces of North Cotabato, South Cotabato, and Sultan Kudaratand Sarangani.
Department of Tourism (DOT) 12 Regional Director Nelly Nita Dillera will lead the tourism stakeholders in the opening program full of fun fare with the internationally- acclaimed Hinugyaw Cultural Dance Troupe of Koronadal City LGU expected to wow the crowd with their cultural performances.
Tourism Pit Stops Product of the region will debut today in the sales call presentation to be participated by DOT, Tour Operators, LGUs and other stakeholders in attendance.
In the succeeding days until Friday (April 7), other product presentations will include Beach and Dive Tourism, Nature Tourism and Cultural Tourism.
Likewise, an Investment Forum cum Matching will be conducted with prospective investors together with project proponents, LGUs and DOT.
Business Matching will also be daily activity at the designated “bismatch” booth at the activity center for the duration of the 5-day activity.
