The Sangguniang Panlalawigan of South Cotabato has earmarked at least Php2.9 Billion for the 2023 General Fund Annual Executive Budget this year 2023.
Said budget will be used for the overall operation of the province, especially for the implementation of various programs and projects for the benefit of its constituents.
During its regular session held earlier, the August Body unanimously approved Resolution No. 606 Series of 2022 which enacts Appropriations Ordinance No. 2022-04 Series of 2022.
Said resolution was authored by Hon. Nilda B. Almencion and Hon. Cecile E. Diel, with Hon. Dardanilo N. Dar, Hon. Alan M. Ines, Hon. Miguel M. Matinong and Hon. Marie Antonina I. Hurtado as co-authors.
Based on the certified statement of receipts from the Provincial Treasurer’s Office, the funds will be taken from the following;
Under the General Fund, Tax Revenue from Local sources amounts to Php101.9 million, while non-tax revenue amounts to Php672.8 million.
The revenue from external sources reached Php 2.23 Billion which came from the Internal Revenue Allotment Fund (IRA) and an additional Php5 million from PAGCOR.
The report also shows that the revenue from the South Cotabato Economic Enterprise reached Php26. 5 million.
These include Php 8.5 million from the South Cotabato Gym and Cultural Center, Php4 million, and Php14 million from the 7-Falls and Zipline and Ecotourism development project.
