John Margell Bisnar Carmona of Surallah won the On-the-Spot Painting Contest held recently at the Mallengke of said town as psrt of the National Arts Month (NAM) ce;ebration that was sponsored by the Visual Artist Sector (VAS).headed by artist Danny Doce.
As fiirst place winner, Carmona, received P5,000 cash incentive plus art materials solicited by Doce from sponsors. Second place winner Mark Angelo Cachuela Garmino of Lake Sebu garnered P4,,000 plus art materials and third place winner Rashel Anne Nolasco of Tupi got P3,000 plus art materials.
Meanwhile, eight (8) consolation prize winners were awarded each P1,000 cash prize and also art materials . They were Ryan Jay Legapitan, Lance Edward Esurena, Danny Mijares, Linly JoyNim, Jefrey Dalupere, John Angelo Carmona, Lovely Grace Bejie and Prince Dadivas,
Matthew Gooch, an artist from USA with 7 other local artists joined the contest as giest artists.
Board of Judges were Aldwin Pilipil, Alex Bacolor and Haron Castromayor.
