Some fifty (50) cultural icons that are products of the local cultural mapping training conducted a few months ago by the Arts, Culture, Tourism and Museum (ACTM) Unit of South Cotabato for the municipality of Tampakan was presented recently to the ACTM Culture and Arts team.
Annaliz Cabrido, ACTM Culture and Arts Program Coordinator disclosed that the 50 cultural icons presented will be subjected to further copy-reading or editing by the ACTM team of which ten (10) will be chosen and a tourism circuit will be conceptualized for promotion and marketing.
The tourism circuit will be conceptualized by the Planning and Research team headed by Tourism Operations Officer I Anna Liza Mondejat while the promotion will be handled by the Promotion and Marketing team headed by Tourism Operations Officer I Francisco Cerbo Jr.
ACTM has already finished the conduct of cultural mapping, training in Tapakan and Sto. Nino LGUs while Tupi and Norala LGUs had already finished cultural mapping orientation.
The towns of Lake Sebu, Surallah and Tboli likewise have finished their cultural mapping training thru the technical assistance of the National Commission for Culture and the Arts.
