Tampakan NHS, Centrala CES shine in “Recycla-Cosplay”

Tampakan National High School (TNHS) and Centrala Central Elementary School (CCES) won in the “Recycla-Cosplay” contest in the high school and elementary school categories, respectively, sponsored by the Provincial Environment Management Office (PEMO) as part of its 4th Recyclable Waste Fair held at Gaisano Grand Mall, Koronadal City.

The contest is a combination of using “recyclables” in creating Costume Play Character, thus Recycla-CosPlay, said PEMO-OIC Siegfred Flaviano who conceptualized the contest.

Contestants were judged based on Similarity to the Cos-Play Character (50%), Craftsmanship of Costume (40%) and Presentation (10%).

TNHS’ Sherrian Mae Saguindan portrayal of Erza Scarlet and CCES’ Angela Jewel Tejan character as Randgris got the judges nod as first place winners that earned them a cash incentive each of P3,000.

The other winners in the high school category were as follows: Second Place (P2,000) – Princess Kaye Vedayo (Sto. Nino National High School) as Gwendolyn; Third Place (P1,0000) – John Norton Pesigan (Cebuano National High School) as Gundam; Fourth Place (P750) – Ellaine Grace Bugnos ( Marbel 7 National High School) as Miltiades Malachite.

For the elementary school category: Second Place (P2,000) – Shanniah Marie Hare (Sto. Nino Central Elementary School) as Dark Valkyrie Diara; Third Place (P1,0000) – Angela Rose Valencia (Polomolok Central Elementary School) as Tinkerbell ; Fourth Place (P750) – Rica Riz Magollado ( Lugan Central Elementary School) as Maiev Shadowsong ; Fifth Prize (P500) – Frances Young (Centrala Central Elementary School) as Rune Knight.

Meanwhile, Cebuano National High School and Sto. Nino Central Elementary School bested other schools in the Environmental Quiz Bee contest when they won first place in the Environmental Quiz Show.

Cebuano NHS and Sto. Nino CES both bagged the P3,000 cash incentive as top placers.

Sto. Nino NHS and Sergio Legayada HS in the high school category won as second place (P2,000 cash incentive) and third place (P1,000 cash incentive) respectively, in the high school category.

Likewise, Polomolok CES and Lugan CES won as second place (P2,000 cash incentive) and third place (P1,000 cash incentive) respectively, in the elementary school category.

All non-winners received P200 as consolation prize.
